This first-class, four-star hotel, with 90 rooms, 8 of which are junior suites, comprises the refined Villa Montepaldi Restaurant, a large lounge with a piano-bar, a conference room for up to 80 people, a well-equipped gym and the Institute of Thermal Medicine and Scientific Cosmetology. Furthermore, in the park, in addition to the thermal spring and the four thermal pools, there are two tennis courts, a snack bar, an Art Gallery, and a boutique.

The annex to the hotel - the Villa - has recently been restored: its 16 new rooms are spacious, elegant and comfortable, decorated with soft colors and natural materials. Every room is sound-proofed, climate-controlled and includes fax and computer hook-ups.
Cooking at the Hotel Terme di Saturnia is of the Mediterranean style and includes plenty of traditional Tuscan culinary delights.

The legend tells that one day Saturn, god of time and abundance, flew into a temper because men were always fighting against each other. He took a flash of lightning and threw it down onto the Earth, causing sulphurous and warm water to gush out from the crater of a volcano, water which wrapped and calmed everything. That comforting womb eventually gave birth to wiser and happier men. The setting of the legend is acknowledged to be the heart of the Tuscan Maremma: here, this water is still gushing out at a rate of 800 liters per second and at a temperature of 98.6 ºF (37 ºC).

The "miraculous" properties that have always been attributed to the water of Saturnia depend on its sulphurous-carbonic composition that, during its long journey under the volcano, is enriched with rare vegetable and mineral substances. This miraculous water has survived for centuries, celebrated by the Etruscans and the Romans, contended by medieval feudal lords, studied and analyzed by our contemporaries.
