Situated in a sunny and peaceful position in the valley of the river Merse, Borgo Palazzo a Merse dates back to ancient times. The imposing structure of the “Molino del Palazzo”, one of the oldest mills of the Sienese state, built in the year 1246, still stands in the Borgo. On the entrance portal is a very rare and unique document: an inscription in the Vulgar tongue, a language not used in Italy in a public document before the second half of the XIII century. In the XVII century rural building, next to the mill, are situated the two charming apartments, “ Federica and Margherita”. They have been carefully renovated with terracotta floor, beamed ceilings, stone walls and furnished in classic and fresh Tuscan style. Each apartment has plenty of garden space attached with garden furniture and guests can use the old oven as a barbecue. The young owners, Andrea and Federica, will be pleased to serve breakfast by prior request.
At walking distance guests can swim in the river Merse and relax on a small beautiful beach.

The apt. LIMONAIA (50 square meters - 450 sqft) is on the first floor and consists of large living/dining room with kitchen corner (stove, oven, fridge) bathroom with shower and open first floor with double bedded room.
