
Villa Alzato is part of what was once the country residence of the prime minister of Leopoldo Grand-duke of Tuscany. It was built in 1700 on the site of a seventeenth century monastery.
A good-sized apartment occupying the ground floor of the villa, it has been refurbished by the owners in keeping with the period of its original construction.
The Italian garden is for the exclusive use of guests, while the spacious grounds, designed by architect Poggi are shared with the other occupants.
