Ascending, through the woods of the highest hill of the Chianti, one suddenly meets a large clearing with in the middle of a little hill on which is perched a small hamlet. Next to the hamlet is Il Mandorlo, a house subdivided into two apartments: one reserved for the owners and one, with independent entrance, for the guests. The building dates back to medieval times, erected on a rampart of a castle, as clearly witnessed by the thick internal and external stone walls. The furnishing is elegant in all details, with some period furniture making the lodging a very comfortable place. Thanks to its altitude (650 meters a.s.l.) the climate is mild and cool even in summer
