The old hamlet of “Campolungo” is situated near the village of Casciano di Murlo in the region south of Siena . It is in the part of the Sienese countryside that joins with the coastal area known as Maremma Grossetana with its unusual woodland, Mediterranean bushes and hills that spread as far as the eye can see. There are still ancient intersecting pathways and old roads that lead to Siena. It is a real paradise for all those who enjoy trekking and mountain biking. It is also ideal to explore and visit the historical gems of Siena, Montalcino, Pienza, San Quirico d’Orcia, Montepulciano and San Gimignano just a few kilometers away. Within 50 km is Grosseto and the most beautiful coast in Tuscany, the lagoon of Orbetello and the ancient Etruscan sites of Roselle, Pitigliano, Scansano, Populonia and Vetulonia. For those who enjoy relaxing in hot thermal springs, you can spend a day in the numerous spa resorts that the region has to offer: the Roman baths of Vignoni, Petriolo, Chianciano, San Filippo and 70 km away the wonderful spa town of Saturnia with its Etruscan and Roman remains. Still in the vicinity of “Campolungo” you can visit the basilicas of Monte Oliveto the Elder, Sant’Antimo in Montalcino, San Biagio in Montepulciano and the majestic unroofed Roman abbey of San Galgano with the sword in the rock planted by its saint founder. The small village of Casciano di Murlo is only 1.7km from “Campolungo” and offers a swimming pool, sports facilities, an excellent riding school, restaurants and shops. The house has been excellently renovated respecting the typical architectural style of the region. It has been divided into 2 pretty apartments: La Terrazza & Il Cipresso. Campolungo is the ideal base to both relax and explore this fascinating part of Tuscany!


Apartment TERRAZZA - Sleeps 4 (90 square meters - 810 sqft) The apartment is on two levels. On the first floor: a spacious living room with fireplace and kitchen corner (fridge and stove) that opens onto a terrace equipped with table, chairs and a big umbrella for dining out. On the second floor there are a twin and a double bedroom with a panoramic terrace and a bathroom with shower. This property also offers another apartment (see also in our property list "CIPRESSO", shown after the country house name "CAMPOLUNGO".

Prices are weekly per apartment(from Saturday to Saturday) and they include : the use of the apartment with domestic appliances, cutlery, crockery and saucepans, water, gas electricity, linen (for beds, bathroom and kitchen)changed weekly and the final cleaning. Baby crib available free of charge. Extra: central heating 10 Euro per apartment per day.
