Lecchi in Chianti is a picturesque hamlet located on the border between the Sienese castles and surrounding villages and lands under the old Florentine rule. Only 10 km away from Radda in Chianti and about 7 Km from Gaiole in Chianti, Lecchi is a village with ancient origins. The early documents that mention the castle of Lecchi date back to the 9th century B.C. It belonged later to the famous Ricasoli family for a long time. Up on a hill, in an extremely panoramic position, the old castle of Lecchi dominates the village and the beautiful valley. Many interesting naturalist itineraries start from the village passing through oak groves, conifer forests and clear, pure streams. It’s the ideal place for all bicycle and trekking lovers. In the village of Lecchi guests can find a good restaurant, bar, grocery store and a post office. Chianti wine tasting is available at the bar. Situated in the middle of the small Lecchi main Street, Casa Bianchi is a delightful apartment with separate entrance and private terrace that has a view over the countryside.
